About

Girl Scouts of Western Washington is a volunteer-led, youth leadership organization currently serving 15,000 girls and gender expansive youth in grades K-12 across the 17 western counties in our state.   Approximately 20% of our youth members identify as LGBTQ+.  We operate 6 camp properties, 2 program centers, and 3 retail stores. We have over 6,000 adult volunteers who serve as troop leaders, facilitators, and deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience which is designed to drive five attitudes, skills, and behaviors essential to developing leadership outcomes.  Girl Scouts consistently outperform their peers through participation in STEM, entrepreneurship opportunities, outdoor programming, life skills development, and access to college & career resources.  Our council was the first in the United States to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into our strategic direction and to utilize gender expansive language. Become a Girl Scout, volunteer with us, and invest in the next generation of leaders who will make the world a better place!
