This year, GSBA returns to The Westin Seattle on Saturday, October 31, for a reimagined EQUALUX—an unforgettable Halloween gala benefiting the  GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund.  The evening brings together community leaders, business professionals, philanthropists, and supporters for an immersive celebration of generosity, creativity, and connection.

As Halloween settles over Seattle, EQUALUX transforms the ballroom into a world of live entertainment, exceptional cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and thoughtfully curated experiences. Every detail is designed to surprise, delight, and inspire while supporting the next generation of LGBTQ+ and allied scholars.

Choose creative black tie or embrace the spirit of the night in elevated costume attire, then spend the evening alongside a community committed to expanding access to education and creating brighter futures. From the first toast to the final celebration, EQUALUX is where elegance meets imagination—and where every guest helps open doors for tomorrow's rising leaders.

GSBA Board Member, community organizer, advocate, and media host, Deaunte Damper is a passionate champion for Seattle's LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. From nonprofit leadership and youth mentorship to civic engagement and storytelling, his work has helped create more connected and inclusive spaces across the region. A 2026 Seattle Pride Parade Grand Marshal and host of We Live in Color on Converge Media, Deaunte brings warmth, energy, and a deep commitment to community wherever he goes.

Manuela Horn is an Austrian-born comedy entertainer, singer, and one of the world's few professional yodelers. Standing 6'7" in heels and armed with a voice that can shatter expectations (and occasionally wine glasses), she's spent decades delighting audiences across North America with her unique blend of music, improv, audience participation, and wonderfully ridiculous comedy. For EQUALUX, Manuela unleashes her alter ego: The Yodeling Dominatrix.
