GSBA Policy Council

I founded Noskenda with the goal to run small for-profit business in a sustainable way while under a mission-driven set of values that include social consciousness, community engagement & contribution, inclusive working environments, and equitable employment. 

We bought our first small business, a digital print shop on Capitol Hill in Seattle called Perfect Copy & Print in late 2019. The ongoing global pandemic has challenged us as well as provided opportunities to validate this hypothesis of entrepreneurship with this core set of values. 

Prior to this, I led technology & product teams building innovative software products as well as a non-profit organization fostering community and celebration. I’m passionate about creating collaborative and diverse teams as well as products that help people with what they need to do. 

I’ve spent my career working with both data and people to build software solutions that make an impact. I’ve provided vision and direction for a wide variety of projects and teams, from ecommerce in the early days of Amazon, to compensation data at PayScale, to building web platforms and applying machine learning in the $70B TV advertising industry. 

I’ve also applied my skills in the nonprofit sector as Executive Director for GeekGirlCon, which celebrates the contribution of women & girls to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). In my three years leading the organization, I grew their annual convention from 4,000 to 8,500 attendees and led an all-volunteer staff of over 30 people in year-round positions.

My angel investment approach is on underrepresented founders and companies, particularly women & nonbinary, disabled, BIPOC, and neurodivergent/neurominority founders and companies that are data-powered and customer-centric.
