Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing resources in a collaborative environment, ensuring proper resource allocation to complete projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with Firm Leadership and have frequent communications with key stakeholders, including attorneys, operations directors, and end-users to ensure awareness of project status and progress. This position will deliver business related solutions in accordance with the directives laid out within the Firm's strategic frameworks, principles, and guidelines. This position will work on a range of ongoing projects related to internal systems improvements or replacements, process changes and enhancements, office real estate and logistics, firm Objectives and Key Results, external client projects, and special projects in support of the Executive Team priorities.
Essential Functions
- Project Management - manage multiple, ongoing, and interrelated projects to achieve business goals. Coordinate and prioritize resources across business areas. Organize and manage scope, timeline from project inception to completion. Provide project management services and expertise to operational departments and attorney teams. Lead project teams in implementing solutions through their entire lifecycle. Lead the project creation process including requirements gathering, business case development, and stakeholder identification.
- Communication – Maintain frequent and direct communication with stakeholders, develop scope and estimates, monitor and control projects, and resolve impediments effectively and efficiently. Plan and deliver cross-department solutions to enhance the Lane Powell business operations.
- Project Audience and Neutrality - present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and aim. Attain an overall technical and process understanding of a solution. Emphasize results while driving projects forward, regardless of personal interest in the task. Challenge ideas within a group in a constructive way. Work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with aggressive project deadlines. Manage business meetings including scheduling, facilitating discussions, building agendas, recording minutes, distributing relevant information. Excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Business Analysis - work with attorneys, managers, and directors to define business and system requirements for new implementations. Prepare and communicate proposals for project implementation. Design and develop data-backed presentations for firm leadership, including cost/benefit and saving analysis. Research current trends and development in the industry relevant systems and identify new solutions or enhancements to current systems. Attend user group meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions as appropriate. Make recommendations to management regarding current trends.
- Business Intelligence - work with attorneys, managers, and directors to define business and system requirements for project implementations.
- Documentation - fully document all systems, processes, and procedures related to the daily administration of enterprise projects/programs. Consistently document project statuses through written communication to properly communicate with project teams.
- Assist, review and negotiate contracts; liaises with legal counsel as appropriate in conjunction with Chief of Staff and Executive Team.
- Collaborate with project owners and Operations Directors to provide training and information required to promote and implement new projects, programs, and systems.

- High School Diploma/GED
- 3-5 years of Project management experience
- Superb organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and take actions independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to receive and analyze information
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of and experience using MS Office and project management software and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
Hours / Schedule / Location:
- 40 hours per week / Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / Seattle office
- This position reports to Chief of Staff and Firm Leadership
- This is a full-time, exempt position that requires regular and predictable attendance
- Infrequent travel may be required for cross-office projects
- Hybrid - Remote and On-site work will be necessary for this role
Salary Range:
- $80,000 to $130,000 annually
Other Compensation:
- Other compensation may include bonuses, profit sharing, HSA employer contributions, prizes and gifts
