About the Program

Better streets, healthier connections, stronger neighborhoods

Motor vehicles are the largest source of harmful air pollution in Seattle. The Low Pollution Neighborhood program explores better ways to walk, roll, bike, and take transit, contributing to healthier communities and an improved quality of life.

Over the next three years, SDOT is partnering with residents, businesses, and community organizations in Lake City, Capitol Hill, South Park, and Georgetown to explore solutions that reduce pollution and build stronger neighborhoods.

The Low Pollution Neighborhood program supports:

  • Easy ways to walk, roll, and bike to everyday places
  • Fewer car fumes
  • Safer, calmer streets
  • Cooler, greener, and more inviting public spaces
  • Healthier and stronger communities

Your neighborhood. Your ideas.

Stop by the open house and help create a healthier, more connected Capitol Hill.

The Low Pollution Neighborhood program is funded by the Seattle Transportation Levy.
